Ayesha asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about this verse, "And those who give what they give while their hearts are fearful".Ayesha said, "Are they the ones who drink wine and steal?"He replied, "No, daughter of al-Siddiq. Rather, they are those who fast, pray, and give charity, yet fear that it will not be accepted from them. Those are the ones who hasten to do good deeds."He said, This hadith has also been narrated from Abdul-Rahman bin Saeed, from Abu Hazim, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet ﷺ, in a similar manner.

سألت رسول الله ﷺ عن هذه الآية {والذين يؤتون ما آتوا وقلوبهم وجلة} قالت عائشة أهم الذين يشربون الخمر ويسرقون قال لا يا بنت الصديق ولكنهم الذين يصومون ويصلون ويتصدقون وهم يخافون أن لا يقبل منهم أولئك الذين يسارعون في الخيرات قال وقد روي هذا الحديث عن عبد الرحمن بن سعيد عن أبي حازم عن أبي هريرة عن النبي ﷺ نحو هذا
[Hasan] Ibn Majah narrated it in the Book of Zuhd, chapter on caution regarding deeds, no. 4198, from the hadith of Malik bin Mughul with this same wording, and Hakim graded it sahih (3/393, 394) and Dhahabi agreed with him. Abdul-Rahman bin Saeed did not meet Ayesha, as Abu Hatim Razi stated. The hadith has many corroborating narrations found in Abu Yaala, no. 4917, and in Ibn Abu Dunya's Sifat al-Nar, among others.The hadith of Abu Hurairah was narrated by Tabari in his Tafsir (18/33) from the hadith of Abdul-Rahman bin Saeed, from Abu Hazim, from Abu Hurairah, with this same wording.
