The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah revealed nothing in the Torah nor in the Gospel like the Mother of the Quran. It is the seven oft repeated verses, and it is divided between Me and My servant, and My servant shall have whatever he asks."Qutayba narrated to us, Abdul-Aziz bin Muhammad narrated to us, from Ala bin Abdul-Rahman, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, that the Prophet ﷺ came out to Ubayy while he was praying, and he mentioned something similar in meaning.
Its isnad is sahih. Nasai narrated it in 2/139, hadith 915, Kitab al-Iftitah, chapter on the interpretation of Allah's words "We have given you seven of the oft-repeated [verses] and the great Quran", from Husayn bin Hurayth through the same chain, and it was mentioned earlier at 2875.
