The day of the greatest pilgrimage is the day of sacrifice. We do not know of anyone who narrated it as marfu except for what has been narrated from Muhammad bin Ishaq. Shuba narrated this hadith from Ubayy Ishaq, from Abdullah bin Mura, from Harith, from Ali, as a mawquf report.

يوم الحج الأكبر يوم النحر قال هذا الحديث أصح من حديث محمد بن إسحق لأنه روي من غير وجه هذا الحديث عن أبي إسحق عن الحارث عن علي موقوفا ولا نعلم أحدا رفعه إلا ما روي عن محمد بن إسحق وقد روى شعبة هذا الحديث عن أبي إسحق عن عبد الله بن مرة عن الحارث عن علي موقوفا
