The Prophet ﷺ used to be guarded until this verse was revealed, "And Allah will protect you from the people" [Maidah 5:67]. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ put his head out of the tent and said to them, "People, you may go, for Allah has protected me."Nasr bin Ali narrated to us, Muslim bin Ibrahim narrated to us, with this chain of transmission, something similar.

Its chain is hasan. Bayhaqi narrated it, 8/9, through Muslim bin Ibrahim with the same wording. Hakim graded it sahih, 2/313, and Dhahabi agreed with him, and Ibn Hajar Asqalani graded it hasan. This indicates that Harith bin Ubayd heard from Jareeri before his memory became confused, and Allah knows best.
