The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever recites three verses from the beginning of Kahf will be protected from the trial of Dajjal."Muhammad bin Bashshar narrated to us, Muaz bin Hisham narrated to us, my father narrated to me from Qatada, with this chain of transmission, something similar.
حدثنا محمد بن بشار حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن قتادة عن سالم بن أبي الجعد عن معدان بن أبي طلحة
عن النبي ﷺ قال من قرأ ثلاث آيات من أول الكهف عصم من فتنة الدجال حدثنا محمد بن بشار حدثنا معاذ بن هشام حدثني أبي عن قتادة بهذا الإسناد نحوه

Muslim also narrated it, in the Book of the Prayer of Travelers, Chapter on the Merit of Surah Kahf and Ayat al-Kursi, hadith 809, from Muhammad bin Bashshar with this chain, with the wording, "Whoever memorizes ten verses..." to the end, and this is the correct version. The narrators differed in their wording, some saying "from the beginning of Surah Kahf" and others "from the end of Surah Kahf," and the latter is the preferred view.
