Abu Hurairah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to Ubayy bin Kaab while he was praying and called, "Ubayy!" Ubayy turned toward him but did not answer. He shortened his prayer and then went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Peace be upon you, Messenger of Allah."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "And peace be upon you. What kept you from answering me when I called you, Ubayy?"He said, "Messenger of Allah, I was in prayer."He said, "Did you not find in what Allah revealed to me, 'Respond to Allah and the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life' [Anfal 8:24]?"Ubayy said, "Yes indeed, and I will not do it again, Allah willing."He said, "Would you like me to teach you a surah the like of which has not been revealed in the Torah, nor in the Gospel, nor in the Psalms, nor in the Furqan?"Ubayy said, "Yes, Messenger of Allah."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "How do you recite in the prayer?"Ubayy then recited the Mother of the Quran.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, nothing like it has been revealed in the Torah, nor in the Gospel, nor in the Psalms, nor in the Furqan. It is the seven oft-repeated verses and the Great Quran which has been given to me."

عن أبي هريرة

أن رسول الله ﷺ خرج على أبي بن كعب فقال رسول الله ﷺ يا أبي وهو يصلي فالتفت أبي ولم يجبه وصلى أبي فخفف ثم انصرف إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال السلام عليك يا رسول الله فقال رسول الله ﷺ وعليك السلام ما منعك يا أبي أن تجيبني إذ دعوتك فقال يا رسول الله إني كنت في الصلاة قال أفلم تجد فيما أوحى الله إلي أن {استجيبوا لله وللرسول إذا دعاكم لما يحييكم} قال بلى ولا أعود إن شاء الله قال أتحب أن أعلمك سورة لم ينزل في التوراة ولا في الإنجيل ولا في الزبور ولا في الفرقان مثلها قال نعم يا رسول الله قال رسول الله ﷺ كيف تقرأ في الصلاة قال فقرأ أم القرآن فقال رسول الله ﷺ والذي نفسي بيده ما أنزلت في التوراة ولا في الإنجيل ولا في الزبور ولا في الفرقان مثلها وإنها سبع من المثاني والقرآن العظيم الذي أعطيته
