The two of them were asked which deed was most beloved to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. They replied, "Whatever was done consistently, even if it was little."
حدثنا أبو هشام الرفاعي حدثنا ابن فضيل عن الأعمش عن أبي صالح قال سئلت
أي العمل كان أحب إلى رسول الله ﷺ قالتا ما ديم عليه وإن قل
[Sahih]. Ahmad also narrated it, 32/6, 289, from Muhammad bin Fudayl through the same chain. This hadith has many corroborating narrations, including the hadith that follows in the same chapter. The hadith of Hisham bin Urwa was narrated by Bukhari, no. 6462, and others.
