She was asked, "Did the Prophet ﷺ ever recite any poetry?"She replied, "He used to recite verses of Ibn Rawahah, and he would recite the line, 'And news will come to you from one you did not supply with provisions.'"
حدثنا علي بن حجر أخبرنا شريك عن المقدام بن شريح عن أبيه
قال قيل لها هل كان النبي ﷺ يتمثل بشيء من الشعر قالت كان يتمثل بشعر ابن رواحة ويتمثل ويقول ويأتيك بالأخبار من لم تزود
[Its chain is daif] Nasai also reported it in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla, no. 997, from Ali bin Hajar with the same wording, and a group of narrators followed him in transmitting it. The hadith has many other routes and corroborating narrations, but they are all daif.There is also a narration on this subject from Ibn Abbas [Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad, no. 792, 793, and Ibn Abu Shayba, 8/506, and its chain is daif].
