The Prophet ﷺ passed by him while his thigh was uncovered, so the Prophet ﷺ said, "Cover your thigh, for it is part of the awrah."
حدثنا الحسن بن علي الخلال حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا معمر عن أبي الزناد قال
أن النبي ﷺ مر به وهو كاشف عن فخذه فقال النبي ﷺ غط فخذك فإنها من العورة
[Hasan] Ahmad narrated it (3/478) from Abdul-Razzaq, with the same wording, from Ibn Jarhad. Tirmidhi graded it hasan.
