The Prophet ﷺ said, "Every eye is an adulterer, and a woman who applies perfume and then passes by a gathering is such and such," meaning an adulteress.

[Its isnad is hasan]. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Grooming, chapter on a woman's perfume when going out, no. 4173, from the hadith of Yahya Qattan, and Nasai, 8/153, no. 5129, from the hadith of Thabit bin Umara, with the same wording. The majority of scholars deemed him reliable, and Dhahabi said in al-Kashif, "Truthful." Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 1681, as did Ibn Hibban, no. 1474, and Hakim, 2/396, and Dhahabi agreed with him.There is also a narration on this subject from Abu Hurairah [Abu Dawud, no. 4174].
