Someone was asked where the Prophet ﷺ used to place his face when he prostrated, and he replied, "Between his palms."

Sourcing, hasan. Tahawi also narrated it in Maani Athar 1/257 from the hadith of Hafs bin Ghiyath, from him. Hajjaj bin Artah is daif and uses ambiguous transmission wording. The hadith has corroborating narrations in Muslim (401) and elsewhere.On this subject there is also a narration from Waail bin Hajar [Muslim h. 401] and Abu Humayd [coming up, 304].
