A man came to the Prophet ﷺ seeking a mount, saying that his own had broken down beneath him.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Go to so-and-so."So he went to him, and the man provided him with a mount.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "Whoever guides someone to a good deed has a reward like that of the one who performs it," or he said, "the one who carries it out."
حدثنا محمود بن غيلان حدثنا أبو داود أنبأنا شعبة عن الأعمش قال سمعت أبا عمرو الشيباني يحدث
أن رجلا أتى النبي ﷺ يستحمله فقال إنه قد أبدع بي فقال رسول الله ﷺ ائت فلانا فأتاه فحمله فقال رسول الله ﷺ من دل على خير فله مثل أجر فاعله أو قال عامله
Muslim also narrated it, in the Book of Leadership, Chapter on the Merit of Helping a Fighter in the Cause of Allah with a Mount or Otherwise, etc., hadith no. 1893, from the hadith of Shubah with the same chain, and it is also found in Musnad Abu Dawud Tayalisi, hadith no. 611.
