The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Convey from me, even if it is a single verse. Narrate from the Children of Israil, and there is no harm in that. But whoever deliberately lies about me, let him take his seat in the Fire."
حدثنا محمد بن يحيى حدثنا محمد بن يوسف عن ابن ثوبان هو عبد الرحمن بن ثابت بن ثوبان عن حسان بن عطية عن أبي كبشة السلولي
قال رسول الله ﷺ بلغوا عني ولو آية وحدثوا عن بني إسرائيل ولا حرج ومن كذب علي متعمدا فليتبوأ مقعده من النار
Bukhari also reported it in the Book of the Prophets, Chapter on What Was Mentioned Concerning Banu Israil, hadith no. 3461, from the report of Hassan bin Atiya through this route, narrating it from Abu Asim Dahhak bin Makhlad, from Uzai, through this route.
