He related two reports, one from himself and the other from the Prophet ﷺ. Abdullah said, "The believer sees his sins as though he were at the foot of a mountain, fearing it will collapse upon him, while the wicked person sees his sins as a fly that landed on his nose," and he gestured with his hand like this, as though waving it away.
حدثنا هناد حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن عمارة بن عمير عن الحارث بن سويد
بحديثين أحدهما عن نفسه والآخر عن النبي ﷺ قال عبد الله إن المؤمن يرى ذنوبه كأنه في أصل جبل يخاف أن يقع عليه وإن الفاجر يرى ذنوبه كذباب وقع على أنفه قال به هكذا فطار
Agreed upon (by Bukhari and Muslim). Bukhari related it in the Book of Supplications, Chapter on Repentance, no. 6308, from the hadith of Muawiya al-Darir, and Muslim related it, no. 2744, from the hadith of Amash, through the same chain.
