I came in to see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and found him reclining on a woven straw mat, and I could see its imprint marked on his side.
حدثنا عبد بن حميد أخبرنا عبد الرزاق عن معمر عن الزهري عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله بن أبي ثور قال سمعت ابن عباس يقول أخبرني
دخلت على رسول الله ﷺ فإذا هو متكئ على رمل حصير فرأيت أثره في جنبه
Agreed upon (Bukhari and Muslim). Muslim also recorded it in Kitab al-Talaq, chapter on ila (vowing to abstain from one's wife), withdrawing from women, and giving them the choice, etc., hadith no. 1479, from the hadith of Abdul-Razzaq. Bukhari recorded it, hadith no. 5191, from the hadith of Zuhri with this wording, and it will come again, hadith no. 3318, in full length.
