The Prophet ﷺ said, "The son of Adam will be brought on the Day of Resurrection like a young lamb and made to stand before Allah. Allah will say to him, 'I gave to you, granted you authority, and bestowed favors upon you. What did you do?'He will reply, 'My Lord, I gathered it and made it grow, and I left it greater than it had ever been. Send me back so I may bring it to You.'Allah will say to him, 'Show Me what you have sent ahead.'He will say, 'My Lord, I gathered it and made it grow, and I left it greater than it had ever been. Send me back so I may bring all of it to You.'He is thus a servant who sent ahead no good, so he is taken away to the Fire."

Its isnad is daif. Baghawi narrated it in Sharh al-Sunnah, no. 4058, from the hadith of Ibn Mubarak, with the same wording. Ismail bin Muslim is daif in hadith (Taqrib). It has a corroborating witness narration in Abu Naeem's Hilyat Awliya 6/310, but it contains Yazid Raqashi, who is daif.On this subject there are also narrations from Abu Hurairah [to come, no. 2428] and Abu Saeed Khudri [to come, no. 2428].
