The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "On the Day of Resurrection, people will be presented three times. Two of these presentations will involve dispute and the offering of excuses. As for the third presentation, at that point the records will fly into the hands. Some will receive theirs in the right hand, and others will receive theirs in the left."
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Hasan Basri narrated using "an" (indicating a possible break in the chain), and the hadith of Abu Musa Ashari was recorded by Ibn Majah, no. 4277, from the narration of Ali bin Ali, transmitting it in this way. Uqbah bin Akham explicitly stated that Hasan heard directly from Abu Musa, as found in Ibn Abu Dunya's work (al-Nihayah) in al-Fitan wal-Malahim, 2/40, 41, no. 822, but Uqbah is daif and may practice tadlis (as noted in Taqrib*), so this explicit claim of direct hearing is undoubtedly a mistake.
