The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is not one among you but his Lord will speak to him on the Day of Resurrection, with no interpreter between them. He will look to his right and see nothing except what he has sent ahead. He will look to his left and see nothing except what he has sent ahead. Then he will look in front of him and the Fire will face him."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever among you is able to shield his face from the heat of the Fire, even with half a date, let him do so."
حدثنا هناد حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن خيثمة
قال رسول الله ﷺ ما منكم من رجل إلا سيكلمه ربه يوم القيامة وليس بينه وبينه ترجمان فينظر أيمن منه فلا يرى شيئا إلا شيئا قدمه ثم ينظر أشأم منه فلا يرى شيئا إلا شيئا قدمه ثم ينظر تلقاء وجهه فتستقبله النار قال رسول الله ﷺ من استطاع منكم أن يقي وجهه حر النار ولو بشق تمرة فليفعل
Agreed upon [by Bukhari and Muslim]. Bukhari reported it in the Book of Tawhid, in the chapter on the Lord's speech, Most High, on the Day of Resurrection with the prophets and others, hadith no. 7512, and Muslim, hadith no. 1016, from the hadith of Amash with this wording.Waki's statement is sahih, from him.
