The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The poor will enter Paradise before the rich by five hundred years, which is half a day."He said, this is a hasan sahih hadith.
حدثنا محمود بن غيلان حدثنا قبيصة حدثنا سفيان عن محمد بن عمرو عن أبي سلمة
قال رسول الله ﷺ يدخل الفقراء الجنة قبل الأغنياء بخمس مائة عام نصف يوم قال هذا حديث حسن صحيح
Hasan. Ibn Majah also narrated it in the Book of Zuhd, chapter on the status of the poor, hadith no. 4122, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Amr Laythi, with the same wording. Sufyan Thawri explicitly stated that he heard it directly, as found in Abu Yaala, 10/411, hadith no. 6018, in the narration of Muammal bin Ismail from him. The hadith was graded sahih by Ibn Hibban, hadith no. 2567.
