The Prophet ﷺ said, "The son of Adam has no right to anything beyond these essentials, a house to live in, a garment to cover his nakedness, dry bread, and water."
حدثنا عبد بن حميد حدثنا عبد الصمد بن عبد الوارث حدثنا حريث بن السائب قال سمعت الحسن يقول حدثني حمران بن أبان
أن النبي ﷺ قال ليس لابن آدم حق في سوى هذه الخصال بيت يسكنه وثوب يواري عورته وجلف الخبز والماء
Its chain of transmission is hasan. Ahmad narrated it 1/62 from Abdul-Samad, and Abu Dawud Tayalisi, no. 83, from the hadith of Hurayth bin Saaib with it, through successive direct hearing, and Hakim graded it sahih 4/312, and Dhahabi agreed with him. The statement of Nadr is sound from him.
