The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the dawn prayer, and when he finished, he stood up and said, "False testimony has been equated with associating partners with Allah," repeating this three times. Then he recited the verse, "And shun the false statement" [Hajj 22:30] to the end of the verse.
حدثنا عبد بن حميد حدثنا محمد بن عبيد حدثنا سفيان وهو ابن زياد العصفري عن أبيه عن حبيب بن النعمان الأسدي
أن رسول الله ﷺ صلى صلاة الصبح فلما انصرف قام قائما فقال عدلت شهادة الزور بالشرك بالله ثلاث مرات ثم تلا هذه الآية {واجتنبوا قول الزور} إلى آخر الآية
Its chain is daif. It was also reported by Abu Dawud in the Book of Judgments, chapter on false testimony, no. 3599, and Ibn Majah, no. 2372, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Ubayd, with the same chain. Ziyad Asfari, no one knows who he is (Mizan al-Itidal). Habib is obscure, and only Ibn Hibban declared him trustworthy. Hafiz said in Talkhis, 4/190, no. 2095, its chain is unknown, and it has a daif corroborating narration in Ibn Kathir's Tafsir, 3/229, and in another copy, 5/415.This hadith was not mentioned by Mizzi in Tuhfat Ashraf.
