Allah preserved me through something I had heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When Chosroes died, the Prophet ﷺ asked, "Whom have they appointed as his successor?"They replied, "His daughter."The Prophet ﷺ then said, "A people who entrust their affairs to a woman will never prosper."So when Ayesha arrived at Basra, I remembered the words of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and Allah preserved me through them.

عصمني الله بشيء سمعته من رسول الله ﷺ لما هلك كسرى قال من استخلفوا قالوا ابنته فقال النبي ﷺ لن يفلح قوم ولوا أمرهم امرأة قال فلما قدمت عائشة يعني البصرة ذكرت قول رسول الله ﷺ فعصمني الله به
