The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not curse the wind. When you see something in it that you dislike, say, 'O Allah, we ask You for the good of this wind, the good in it, and the good of what it has been commanded to bring. We seek refuge in You from the evil of this wind, the evil in it, and the evil of what it has been commanded to bring.'"
حدثنا إسحق بن إبراهيم بن حبيب بن الشهيد البصري حدثنا محمد بن فضيل حدثنا الأعمش عن حبيب بن أبي ثابت عن ذر عن سعيد بن عبد الرحمن بن أبزى عن أبيه
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا تسبوا الريح فإذا رأيتم ما تكرهون فقولوا اللهم إنا نسألك من خير هذه الريح وخير ما فيها وخير ما أمرت به ونعوذ بك من شر هذه الريح وشر ما فيها وشر ما أمرت به
Hasan. Nasai also narrated it in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla, no. 934, from Ishaq bin Ibrahim, with the same chain, and Hakim graded it sahih (2/272), and Dhahabi agreed with him. This hadith has supporting narrations, see no. 1978.This subject is also reported from Ayesha [coming at 3449], Abu Hurairah [Abu Dawud, no. 5097, and Ibn Majah, no. 3727], Uthman bin Abu As [I did not find it], Anas [Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad, no. 717], Ibn Abbas [previously mentioned at 1978], and Jabir [Abu Yaala in his Musnad, no. 2194, and Tabarani in Awsat, nos. 4695 and 6791].
