The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Ahead of you lie days in which knowledge will be lifted away and harj will increase."They asked, "Messenger of Allah, what is harj?"He replied, "Killing."
حدثنا هناد حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن شقيق بن سلمة
قال رسول الله ﷺ إن من ورائكم أياما يرفع فيها العلم ويكثر فيها الهرج قالوا يا رسول الله ما الهرج قال القتل
Agreed upon [by Bukhari and Muslim]. Muslim narrated it in the Book of Knowledge, chapter on the withdrawal and disappearance of knowledge and the emergence of ignorance and turmoil at the end of time, hadith no. 2672, from the hadith of Abu Muawiya the blind, and Bukhari narrated it, hadith no. 7064, from the hadith of Amash with the same wording.On the same subject there is also a report from Abu Hurairah [Bukhari, no. 85, and Muslim, no. 157, following hadith no. 2672], and from Khalid bin Walid [Ahmad, 4/90], and from Maqil bin Yasar [to come, no. 2201].
