"So-and-so sends his greetings of peace to you."He replied to him, "It has reached me that he has innovated. If he has indeed innovated, then do not convey my greetings to him, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'There will occur in this nation,' or he said, 'in my nation' (the doubt is from the narrator), 'a swallowing up by the earth, or a transformation, or a pelting with stones, and it will befall the people of Qadar.'"
حدثنا محمد بن بشار حدثنا أبو عاصم حدثنا حيوة بن شريح أخبرني أبو صخر قال حدثني نافع أن
إن فلانا يقرأ عليك السلام فقال له إنه بلغني أنه قد أحدث فإن كان قد أحدث فلا تقرئه مني السلام فإني سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول يكون في هذه الأمة أو في أمتي الشك منه خسف أو مسخ أو قذف في أهل القدر
[Its chain of transmission is hasan] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Sunnah, in the chapter of one who calls to the sunnah, hadith no. 4613, from the hadith of Abu Sakhr with this wording, and Hakim graded it sahih according to the standard of Muslim, 1/84, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
