Some of the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ said, "Truffles are the smallpox of the earth."The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Truffles are among the manna, and their juice is a cure for the eye. The Ajwa date is from Paradise, and it is a cure for poison."
حدثنا محمد بن بشار حدثنا معاذ بن هشام حدثنا أبي عن قتادة عن شهر بن حوشب
أن ناسا من أصحاب النبي ﷺ قالوا الكمأة جدري الأرض فقال النبي ﷺ الكمأة من المن وماؤها شفاء للعين والعجوة من الجنة وهي شفاء من السم
Hasan. Ibn Majah also narrated it, h: 3455, through Shahr bin Hawshab, with the same wording, and he is hasan al-hadith.
