He was present with the Prophet ﷺ when Suwayd bin Tariq, or Tariq bin Suwayd, asked him about wine, and he forbade it to him.The man said, "But we use it as medicine."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "It is not medicine. It is a disease."Mahmud reported to us that Nadr bin Shumayl and Shababa narrated the same thing from Shuba. Mahmud said that Nadr said "Tariq bin Suwayd," while Shababa said "Suwayd bin Tariq."
