The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever kills himself with a piece of iron will have that iron in his hand, stabbing himself in the belly with it in the fire of Hell, abiding therein forever and ever. Whoever kills himself with poison will have that poison in his hand, sipping it in the fire of Hell, abiding therein forever and ever. Whoever throws himself down from a mountain and kills himself will keep throwing himself down in the fire of Hell, abiding therein forever and ever."Muhammad bin Ala narrated to us, Waki and Abu Muawiya narrated to us, from Amash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet ﷺ, a hadith similar to that of Shuba from Amash.
حدثنا محمود بن غيلان حدثنا أبو داود عن شعبة عن الأعمش قال سمعت أبا صالح
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال من قتل نفسه بحديدة فحديدته في يده يتوجأ بها في بطنه في نار جهنم خالدا مخلدا فيها أبدا ومن قتل نفسه بسم فسمه في يده يتحساه في نار جهنم خالدا مخلدا فيها أبدا ومن تردى من جبل فقتل نفسه فهو يتردى في نار جهنم خالدا مخلدا فيها أبدا حدثنا محمد بن العلاء حدثنا وكيع وأبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن أبي صالح عن أبي هريرة عن النبي ﷺ نحو حديث شعبة عن الأعمش
Agreed upon (by Bukhari and Muslim). Bukhari also recorded it, no. 5778, and Muslim, no. 175/109, from the hadith of Shubah through this route, and it is in Musnad Abu Dawud Tayalisi, no. 2416.The hadith of Waki was recorded by Muslim, no. 109, the hadith of Ibn Ajlan. The hadith of Abu Zinad was recorded by Bukhari, no. 1365, and Ahmad, 2/435.
