The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever has a kindness done to him and says to the one who did it, 'May Allah reward you with good,' has indeed offered the utmost praise."
حدثنا الحسين بن الحسن المروزي بمكة وإبراهيم بن سعيد الجوهري قالا حدثنا الأحوص بن جواب عن سعير بن الخمس عن سليمان التيمي عن أبي عثمان النهدي
قال رسول الله ﷺ من صنع إليه معروف فقال لفاعله جزاك الله خيرا فقد أبلغ في الثناء
[Its isnad is hasan] Nasai narrated it in Sunan al-Kubra, no. 10008, and in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla, no. 180, from Ibrahim bin Saeed Jawhari through the same route, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih in Ihsan 5/174, no. 3404.Narrated from Abu Hurairah [perhaps referring to the hadith of Humaydi, no. 1169, and Abd bin Humayd, no. 1418].The hadith of Ata bin Abu Rabah regarding the dinar has a hasan isnad. Abdul-Raheem bin Hazim was mentioned by Ibn Hibban in Thiqat 8/414, where he said, "He was a hadith scholar, narrated from by the people of his town."
