Abdullah bin Masud reported,

The Prophet ﷺ said, "No one in whose heart is an atom's weight of arrogance will enter Paradise, and no one in whose heart is an atom's weight of faith will enter the Fire."A man said to him, "I love that my garment be fine and my sandals be fine."He replied, "Allah is beautiful and loves beauty. But arrogance is to reject the truth and to look down upon people."Some scholars have explained this hadith by saying that the meaning of "no one in whose heart is an atom's weight of faith will enter the Fire" is that he will not abide in the Fire forever. This is supported by what is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri from the Prophet ﷺ, who said, "Whoever has an atom's weight of faith in his heart will be brought out of the Fire."More than one of the Successors interpreted the verse "Our Lord, indeed whoever You admit to the Fire, You have disgraced him" [Al Imran 3:192] to mean, whoever You cause to abide in the Fire forever, You have disgraced him.

عن النبي ﷺ قال لا يدخل الجنة من كان في قلبه مثقال ذرة من كبر ولا يدخل النار يعني من كان في قلبه مثقال ذرة من إيمان قال فقال له رجل إنه يعجبني أن يكون ثوبي حسنا ونعلي حسنة قال إن الله يحب الجمال ولكن الكبر من بطر الحق وغمص الناس وقال بعض أهل العلم في تفسير هذا الحديث لا يدخل النار من كان في قلبه مثقال ذرة من إيمان إنما معناه لا يخلد في النار وهكذا روي عن أبي سعيد الخدري عن النبي ﷺ قال يخرج من النار من كان في قلبه مثقال ذرة من إيمان وقد فسر غير واحد من التابعين هذه الآية {ربنا إنك من تدخل النار فقد أخزيته} فقال من تخلد في النار فقد أخزيته
