During the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, we used to eat while walking and drink while standing.
حدثنا أبو السائب سلم بن جنادة الكوفي حدثنا حفص بن غياث عن عبيد الله بن عمر عن نافع
كنا نأكل على عهد رسول الله ﷺ ونحن نمشي ونشرب ونحن قيام
[Sahih] Ibn Majah reported it in the Book of Foods, Chapter on eating while standing, hadith no. 3301, from Salm bin Junada with the same wording, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, hadith no. 1369, and Hafs bin Ghiyath stated explicitly that he had heard it directly in his version.
