The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the use of certain containers. The Ansar complained to him, saying, "We have no other vessels."He replied, "Then never mind."
حدثنا محمود بن غيلان حدثنا أبو داود الحفري عن سفيان عن منصور عن سالم بن أبي الجعد
نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن الظروف فشكت إليه الأنصار فقالوا ليس لنا وعاء قال فلا إذن
[Sahih]. Bukhari also narrated it, in the Book of Drinks, chapter on the Prophet's ﷺ permission regarding vessels and containers after the prohibition, hadith no. 5592, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, with the same wording, "There is no permission then," meaning "there is no harm then."On this subject there are also narrations from Ibn Masud [Ibn Majah, no. 3406], Abu Hurairah [Muslim, no. 1993], Abu Saeed [Muslim, no. 18, and Ibn Hibban, no. 1391], and Abdullah bin Amr [Bukhari, no. 5593, and Muslim, no. 2000].
