The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took the hand of a man afflicted with leprosy and placed it with his own into the bowl, then said, "Eat, in the name of Allah, with trust in Allah and reliance upon Him."
[Its isnad is daif] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Medicine, chapter on omens, hadith 3925, and Ibn Majah, hadith 3542, from the hadith of Yunus bin Muhammad through this route. Hakim graded it sahih (4/136, 137), as did Dhahabi, while Asqalani and Munawi graded it hasan, and Aqeeli graded it daif.Mufaddal bin Fadala bin Abu Umaya Qurashi, Abu Malik Basri, is daif, as stated in Taqreeb and elsewhere. As for the hadith of Abdullah bin Umar, I did not find it.
