He used to wear his ring on his right hand, and I do not think he said anything other than, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wear his ring on his right hand."

[Its chain is hasan]. Abu Dawud narrated it in Kitab al-Khatam, in the chapter on wearing a ring on the right or left hand, hadith no. 4229, from the hadith of Ibn Ishaq through the same route, and he explicitly stated that he heard it directly.
