The Prophet ﷺ had a ring made of gold and wore it on his right hand. He then sat on the pulpit and said, "I had taken this ring to wear on my right hand." He then threw it away, and the people threw away their rings as well.
حدثنا محمد بن عبيد المحاربي حدثنا عبد العزيز بن أبي حازم عن موسى بن عقبة عن نافع
أن النبي ﷺ صنع خاتما من ذهب فتختم به في يمينه ثم جلس على المنبر فقال إني كنت اتخذت هذا الخاتم في يميني ثم نبذه ونبذ الناس خواتيمهم
