The Prophet ﷺ was wearing two coats of armor on the day of Uhud. He tried to climb up onto the rock but was unable to, so Talha crouched beneath him and the Prophet ﷺ stepped up on him until he was firmly upon the rock.He said, "I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, 'Talha has earned it.'"

كان على النبي ﷺ درعان يوم أحد فنهض إلى الصخرة فلم يستطع فأقعد طلحة تحته فصعد النبي ﷺ عليه حتى استوى على الصخرة فقال سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول أوجب طلحة
[Its chain of transmission is hasan]. Bazzar also reported it (Bahr Zakhkhar): 3/188, no. 972, from the hadith of Saeed Ashaj, with the same wording. Muhammad bin Ishaq explicitly stated that he heard it directly, in the abridged narration found in Abu Yaala: 33/2, no. 670. Ibn Hibban graded the hadith sahih, no. 2212, as did Hakim: 2/373, 374 (sic), and Dhahabi.There is also a version on this subject narrated from Safwan bin Umaya [Abu Dawud, no. 3562–3564] and from Saaib bin Yazid [Tirmidhi, in Shamail, no. 110].
