I saw us on the day of Hunayn when both factions had turned in retreat, and there were not a hundred men with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
حدثنا محمد بن عمر بن علي المقدمي البصري حدثني أبي عن سفيان بن حسين عن عبيد الله بن عمر عن نافع
لقد رأيتنا يوم حنين وإن الفئتين لموليتان وما مع رسول الله ﷺ مائة رجل
Sourcing, [Sahih]. Tabarani also related it in al-Awsat, 5/511-512, hadith no. 4973, from Muhammad bin Ali through the same chain, and said, "Muhammad" - meaning Ibn Umar bin Ali Muqaddami - narrated it alone with this chain.
