Regarding the banner of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said, "It was black, square-shaped, made of a woolen fabric called namirah."

Graded hasan. Abu Dawud also narrated it, no. 2591, from the hadith of Yahya bin Zakariya, through this same route.
