The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah admits three people to Paradise on account of a single arrow: the one who makes it seeking good through its making, the one who shoots it, and the one who hands it to the shooter. So shoot and ride, but for you to shoot is more beloved to me than for you to ride. Every pastime a Muslim man engages in is futile, except his shooting with his bow, his training of his horse, and his playing with his wife. These belong to what is true."Ahmad bin Mani narrated to us, Yazid bin Harun narrated to us, Hisham al-Dastawai informed us, from Yahya bin Abu Kathir, from Abu Salam, from Abdullah bin al-Azraq, from Uqba bin Amir al-Juhani, from the Prophet ﷺ, the like of it.
