The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, and take heed, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever grows a single grey hair in Islam, it will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection."
حدثنا هناد حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن عمرو بن مرة عن سالم بن أبي الجعد أن شرحبيل بن السمط قال يا
عن رسول الله ﷺ واحذر قال سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من شاب شيبة في الإسلام كانت له نورا يوم القيامة
[Its chain is daif] Nasai reported it, 2/6, no. 3146, jihad, chapter on the reward of one who shoots an arrow in the path of Allah, mighty and majestic, and Ibn Majah, no. 2522, from the hadith of Abu Muawiya Dareer, with the same wording. The chain is disconnected, and part of the hadith has supporting narrations in Muslim, no. 1509, and Humaydi, no. 767, and others.On this subject there is also a report from Fadala bin Ubayd [Ahmad, 6/20] and Abdullah bin Amr [coming up, 2821].
