Abdullah bin Umar reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ burned and cut down the palm trees of Banu Nadir at the place known as al-Buwayrah. Then Allah revealed, "Whatever palm trees you cut down or left standing upon their roots, it was by the permission of Allah, and so that He might disgrace the defiantly disobedient" [Hashr 59:5].

أن رسول الله ﷺ حرق نخل بني النضير وقطع وهي البويرة فأنزل الله {ما قطعتم من لينة أو تركتموها قائمة على أصولها فبإذن الله وليخزي الفاسقين}
