The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever among you swears an oath and says in his oath, 'By al-Lat and al-Uzza,' let him say, 'There is no god but Allah.' And whoever says to his companion, 'Come, let me gamble with you,' let him give charity."
حدثنا إسحق بن منصور حدثنا أبو المغيرة حدثنا الأوزاعي حدثنا الزهري عن حميد بن عبد الرحمن
قال رسول الله ﷺ من حلف منكم فقال في حلفه واللات والعزى فليقل لا إله إلا الله ومن قال تعال أقامرك فليتصدق
Agreed upon [by Bukhari and Muslim]. Bukhari narrated it in Al-Adab, chapter "Whoever did not consider one who said that to be an unbeliever, if he did so through misinterpretation or ignorance," no. 6107, from Ishaq bin Mansur, and Muslim narrated it, no. 1647, from the hadith of Uzai, with this same wording.
