I said, "Messenger of Allah, my sister has vowed to walk to the House barefoot and unveiled."The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Allah gains nothing from your sister's hardship. Let her ride, let her veil herself, and let her fast three days."

قلت يا رسول الله إن أختي نذرت أن تمشي إلى البيت حافية غير مختمرة فقال النبي ﷺ إن الله لا يصنع بشقاء أختك شيئا فلتركب ولتختمر ولتصم ثلاثة أيام
Its isnad is daif. Abu Dawud also recorded it in "Oaths and Vows," chapter "On one who was found to owe an expiation while he was in disobedience," Hadith 3293, as did Ibn Majah, Hadith 2134, and Nasai, Hadith 3846, from the hadith of Yahya bin Saeed through the same route.Ubaydullah bin Zahr is daif, the majority graded him daif, and he has a daif corroborating narration in Ahmad, 4/147.There is also a report on this subject from Ibn Abbas. The defect referred to points to the hadith of Abu Dawud, Hadith 3322.
