I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Perform the dawn prayer when the light has spread, for that brings greater reward."He said, Shuba and al-Thawri have also narrated this hadith from Muhammad bin Ishaq. He said, Muhammad bin Ajlan likewise narrated it from Asim bin Umar bin Qatada.
حدثنا هناد حدثنا عبدة هو ابن سليمان عن محمد بن إسحق عن عاصم بن عمر بن قتادة عن محمود بن لبيد
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول أسفروا بالفجر فإنه أعظم للأجر قال وقد روى شعبة والثوري هذا الحديث عن محمد بن إسحق قال ورواه محمد بن عجلان أيضا عن عاصم بن عمر بن قتادة

Also reported by Abu Dawud in the Book of Prayer, Chapter on the Time of the Dawn Prayer, no. 424, and Ibn Majah, no. 672, and others besides them, from the hadith of Asim, with the same wording, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1488 (Ihsan). This hadith of Abu Barza has been superseded, as shown by the hadith of Usama bin Zayd, reported by Abu Dawud, no. 394.The subject is also reported from Aslami [Bukhari, no. 541, and Muslim, no. 235/647], Jabir [Tahawi in Maani Athar, 1/178], and Bilal [Tahawi, 1/179].
