We were standing with the Prophet ﷺ at Arafat when I heard him say, "People, every household must offer a sacrifice and an atirah each year. Do you know what the atirah is? It is what you call the Rajabiyyah."
Its chain is daif. Abu Dawud narrated it in the chapter on Sacrifices, the section on what has been said about the obligation of sacrificial animals, no. 2788, Ibn Majah, no. 3125, and Nasai, no. 4229, from the hadith of Ibn Awn with this wording. The hadith has supporting narrations in Nasai, no. 4230, and elsewhere. Abu Ramlah is of unknown status, and no one has confirmed his reliability except Tirmidhi.
