The Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed them that for a boy, two comparable sheep should be sacrificed, and for a girl, one sheep.
حدثنا يحيى بن خلف البصري حدثنا بشر بن المفضل أخبرنا عبد الله بن عثمان بن خثيم عن يوسف بن ماهك أنهم دخلوا على حفصة بنت عبد الرحمن فسألوها عن العقيقة فأخبرتهم أن
أن رسول الله ﷺ أمرهم عن الغلام شاتان مكافئتان وعن الجارية شاة
