The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us on the Day of Sacrifice and said, "None of you should slaughter until he has prayed."My maternal uncle stood up and said, "Messenger of Allah, this is a day on which meat is undesirable, and I hastened my sacrifice in order to feed my family, the people of my household, and my neighbors."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then offer another sacrifice in its place."He said, "Messenger of Allah, I have a young milk-fed she-goat that is better than two sheep meant for meat. Shall I slaughter it?"He replied, "Yes, and it is the better of your two sacrifices, but a young goat will not suffice for anyone after you."
