Rafi bin Khadij reported,

We were with the Prophet ﷺ on a journey when a camel belonging to the people bolted, and they had no horses with them. So a man shot it with an arrow, and Allah brought it to a halt. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "These beasts have fits of wildness like the wildness of game animals, so whichever of them does this, deal with it in this way."Mahmud bin Ghaylan narrated to us, saying that Waki narrated to them, that Sufyan narrated from his father, from Abaya bin Rifa, from his grandfather Rafi bin Khadij, from the Prophet ﷺ, something similar, and in it he did not mention Abaya narrating from his father. This version is more sound, and it is upon this that the people of knowledge act. Shuba likewise reported it from Saeed bin Masruq in a manner similar to Sufyan's report.
