The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Were it not that dogs are a community among the communities, I would have ordered that all of them be killed. So kill every pure black one among them."
حدثنا أحمد بن منيع حدثنا هشيم أخبرنا منصور بن زاذان ويونس بن عبيد عن الحسن
قال رسول الله ﷺ لولا أن الكلاب أمة من الأمم لأمرت بقتلها كلها فاقتلوا منها كل أسود بهيم
[Hasan]. Abu Dawud also narrated it, in the book of Hunting, chapter on keeping a dog for hunting and other purposes, no. 2845, as did Ibn Majah, no. 3205, and Nasai, no. 4285, from the hadith of Yunus bin Ubayd through this same route. It has corroborating narrations that I have mentioned in Nayl Maqsud.On this subject there are also narrations from Ibn Umar [coming up, no. 1488], Jabir [Muslim, no. 1572], Abu Rafi [Ahmad, 9/6], and Abu Ayub [I did not find it].
