Its isnad is daif. Ibn Majah narrated it in Dhabaih, chapter on the slaughter of an unmanageable animal, no. 3184, from the hadith of Waki, and Abu Dawud, no. 2825, and Nasai, no. 4413, from the hadith of Hammad bin Salama with the same wording. Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, no. 907, while Ahmad and others graded it daif.Bukhari said about Abu Ushra, "There is question about his hadith, his name, and his hearing from his father."
